Toys'R'Us, Inc. Asset Protection Analyst (Recent College Grads Welcome) in WAYNE, New Jersey


_General Description/Primary Purpose_ __ The National Investigation Center (NIC) Asset Protection (AP) analyst is responsible for managing the daily activities within their assigned Investigation Center. The position reports to the Global Resource Center Sr. Analyst of AP Data and Analytics. The NIC Analysts primary responsibilities include the generation of credible internal and external leads for the AP field teams utilizing available RUS systems and store generated incident reporting. This includes analyzing available information and providing supporting documentation for their initiations as needed for timely case resolution.

NIC analysts are also responsible for appropriate communication and follow up related to critical store and weather events and law enforcement requests. Role assignment are normally in the Toys R Us Global Resource Center or the Distribution Centers for the region; however, some travel to local stores may be required.

_Description of Duties and Task Essential Job Functions_ * Responsible for identifying investigative leads, in assigned areas, utilizing numerous systems including, but not limited to, POS Exception Reporting, Refund Authorization, and Asset Protection Incident Management tools. Analysts are also responsible for utilizing all available GRC reporting focused on high shortage and high risk stores to identify internal and external theft. * Responsible for identifying, gathering and managing investigative leads, in assigned areas, and providing supporting documentation and data based on the Investigation type. This includes but is not limited to, review of related theft events, social media and ecommerce profiles, review of internal RUS systems, and usage of video surveillance equipment. * Provide investigative support as needed for ongoing external and internal investigations, as well as special projects as assigned by the Sr. AP Data Analyst. * Responsible for managing and responding to law enforcement and legal requests, which includes the gathering and distributing of evidence related to criminal and civil investigations. * Responsible for appropriately and effectively managing and communicating investigative leads, as well as supporting documentation, to appropriate field and GRC AP teams. * Responsible for appropriate utilization of CCTV remote viewing technology to identify and support both internal and external investigations. * Responsible for ongoing monitoring of critical store and weather incidents, including assistance during crisis management for assigned geographic market, as well as providing national coverage when needed. * Responsible for distributing AP theft bulletins and weather alerts, as needed, to store and field teams.


Additional Preferred Qualifications * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong understanding and professional use of social media and ecommerce platforms * Data management experience preferred * Experience using exploratory data analysis and predictive analysis Required Qualifications * Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) * 2-4 year degree or comparable professional experience * 1-3 years of investigative, statistical, or analytical experience
