You are accountable to cross-functionally formulate and implement category level omni-channel strategies that drive profitable sales growth through assortment optimization, management of in-stocks on top items and informing the end-user web experience

Your category is responsible for curating some of the biggest toy brands, trends, and kids’ entertainment properties in order to drive growth.
By working cross-functionally, you are accountable for animating your business in ways that increase traffic and conversion to our physical and digital stores
Create global synergies and share best practices through forums of engagement with your global counterparts in our global markets.

Marketing and social media are drivers for your business. By partnering with our Marketing and Digital teams, you are accountable for formulating and implementing category level initiatives that leverage content as a differentiator that signals our category leadership position on our web store and through social media
Crafting a private brand strategy and creating margin driving opportunities in partnership with our private brand team
Keeping a keen eye on the competitive landscape and identifying and remedying pricing discrepancies strategically

What we need:
A high energy, results driven general business manager:
Seeking to lead in a highly-cross functional environment with an ability to inspire, create, and elevate high performing teams
Possessing deep analytical abilities with a strong financial and customer focused acumen to drive innovative business decisions
With a proven background in vendor collaboration through joint business planning
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
Six (6)+ years of General Business Management, or equivalent Merchandising expertise, operating in a matrix style work system in which you were accountable for aligning cross functional objectives and priorities
Demonstrated success in leveraging Digital Marketing and Social Channels to drive your business
Demonstrated capability in setting mutual purpose, objectives, and implementation cadence with vendors (joint business planning)
Proven Ability to leverage your P+L for shaping the financial position of your division for growth in market share, revenue, and same store margin
Deep working knowledge in an investor environment featuring an aggressive EBITDA growth plan
Constantly has an eye to the EBITDA impact of recommended strategies and will push back on work and projects that do not add real strategic value
Demonstrates a real sense of urgency without compromising the future
