Job Description

Position Summary:

Provide analytical support on strategic initiatives within the organization, making recommendations for optimal implementation strategy given test results or ad-hoc analytics. Conceptualize, develop, and roll out analytical tools for different business partners, with an emphasis on visualizations. Perform both detailed and high level analyses on ambiguous business questions with minimal direction. As a Senior Analyst in Strategic Testing & Analytics, you will work on a highly visible, flexible, collaborative team with analysts of diverse backgrounds and skill sets to solve the most challenging problems in retail.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Influence key cross-functional business partners by delivering analyses and recommendations that support the company's strategic direction, optimal value creation and proper focus of resources.

  • Analyze and report on store testing initiatives, ensuring clean test and control locations, and working closely with APT analytical tool. Provide results for in-store tests, working with capital and business teams to understand overall performance.

  • Analyze initiatives and events utilizing transaction-level data via SQL, as necessary.

  • Grow and maintain relationships with business stakeholders. Translate business opportunities into actionable analytic projects and see those projects through from conception to implementation.

This group is highly visible in the organization and candidate must be able to present results and translate statistical and business terminology to senior members of management. Must be able to interact productively with decision makers.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Business, or Accounting. MBA or Masters preferred.

  • 5+ years in an analytics environment, with tangible management experience.

  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills. Can express complex ideas in simple terms

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, self-motivated.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines.

  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel. Understanding of Excel/Access VBA and Macros, R, SPSS, SAS, Data Modeling and Statistical analysis a plus. Desire to learn and utilize SQL and Tableau, or related systems, a must.

Supervisory Levels:

No direct supervisory responsibilities.
